Kyutech delegation with 6 members headed by Prof. Tohru Kamiya, Vice President for International Affairs, visited University of Lorraine in France from 20th to 21st September 2022.
During these 2 full days, visits and discussions were made with 5 schools and 3 research laboratories/institutes of University of Lorraine such as The ?cole Nationale Supérieure des Industries Chimiques (ENSIC), L'Institut Jean Lamour (IJL), ?cole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Nancy (Mines Nancy), ?cole nationale supérieure d'électricité et de mécanique de Nancy (ENSEM), The Laboratoire Aboratoire D’ingenierie Des Biomolecules (Biomolecular Engineering Laboratory), Lorraine Research Laboratory in Computer Science and its Applications (LORIA), and The ?cole européenne d'ingénieurs en génie des matériaux (EEIGM), ?cole nationale d'ingénieurs de Metz (ENIM), and exchanged various ideas of how to enhance student mobility, research training program, joint research, double degree program, and so forth.
The 1st Joint Steering Committee Meeting, co-chaired by Prof. Karl TOMBRE (Vice President for European and International Strategy, University of Lorraine) and Prof. Tohru KAMIYA (Vice President for International Affairs of Kyutech), brought about the common recognition between both universities to work together to jointly promote research-track student training, co-supervision, blended student mobility, academic and non-academic staff development program mobility, joint lectures, joint research projects, double-degree program between new schools, funding, and internationalization of the universities.
This sustainable international cooperation has firstly begun between Kyutech and Mines Nancy and has been extended to all other schools between Kyutech and UL. During the meeting, both universities acknowledged to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Kyutech-University of Lorraine cooperation in next year.
