Kyutech-UPM Mobility Program in September 2019

 Twenty students and an officer from University Putra Malaysia (UPM) visited Kyutech from September 2nd to 15th in 2019 for the Mobility Program arranged between Kyutech and UPM. They participated in a program coordinated by Kyutech Institute of Liberal Arts.
The program contained many educational modules on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDGs Project with 20 Kyutech Students as a part of International Collaborative Learning course; Lectures on "Robotics for Humanities" by Dr. SAKAI, Nobuo, on "Robotic Programming" and AI by Dr. HANAZAWA, Akitoshi, on "SDGs" by Dr. OTA, Masahiko and Mr. OYAMA, Takatoshi; Factory visits to Kitakyushu Eco-Town Center, Shabondama Soap, Co. Ltd., Shinmoji Waste Management Center, and YASKAWA Electric Corporation; Japanese classes, etc. Through the program, UPM students were exposed to Japanese newest technology as well as green technology and innovation. They also had chances to experience traditional Japanese cultures, such as calligraphy and origami arranged by Kyutech Language Lounge staff. Even though it was a short term program, students were able to gain a lot of new/different experiences and enjoyed their stay at Kyutech.
